I love to work in oil paint but have experimented with mixed media and acrylic. I have recently enjoyed watercolour especially as I travel around locations looking for inspiration.

I now live on Holy Island just south of the Scottish border, which is an incredible place of seas and skies. I love to paint in places like Iona, Mull and Holy Island. Places that are often described as "thin places" where heaven and earth somehow seem closer. I love big skies and seascapes but have recently enjoyed experimenting with oil pastels choosing subjects like geese, ducks, kingfishers and bumble bees.
